Nine people have been killed in a horrific taxi minibus rollover crash in the Karoo, Western Cape.
The fatal crash happened on the N1 between Prince Albert Road and Leeu Gamka in the Karoo.
Traffic Chief in the Western Cape, Kenny Africa says the driver apparently lost control and the taxi rolled.
Africa says the road has been closed in both direction shortly after the accident in the early hours of this morning:
“The death toll in the gruesome taxi accident early this morning on the road between Prince Albert road and Leeu Gamka on the N1 has risen to nine. Five male occupants died and four female occupants died in this gruesome crash. Another six occupants were seriously injured.”
