Durban – A foetus has been found dumped in a bin on the Durban beachfront.
A municipal employee had been emptying bins at the New Pier near Wedge Beach when the discovery was made.
The female foetus which still had it’s placenta attached was recovered earlier today.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says the baby was found this morning.
“The Durban search and rescue, as well as Durban metro police, were called out in the morning to attend to the incident,” she says.
Mbele says a concealment of birth case has been opened.
