Durban – Three people have luckily escaped injury after the vehicle they were travelling in onerturned on the R102 between the Verulam and Ottawa intersection during heavy rains this morning.
At approximately 07:32 the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Center received multiple calls from motorists reporting the accident.
Upon arrival the vehicle was found lying on its roof in the center median.
According to the driver he and two other people were travelling from Verulam to Mt. Edgecombe when he struck a water patch and lost control of his vehicle.
The Hyundai i10 crashed into a metal barrier before it overturned and slid several meters on its roof.
The occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
