Two dead, two seriously injured in North West head-on collision

Two people have died and two others have been seriously injured in a head-on collision between two light motor vehicles on the R556 outside Lekgalong, between Brits and Sun City, on Sunday evening.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene along with other services at 17h20 to find a red VW in the road with two deceased adults still inside.

Both the male and female showed no signs of life and were unfortunately declared dead on arrival.

Another vehicle was found ablaze some distance from the road. Two adult men had been ejected from the vehicle on impact.

One was found to be in a critical condition, the other had suffered serious injuries.

The critical patient was to be flown by medical helicopter to Brits for further treatment at a private hospital.

The seriously injured patient was treated and transported to a provincial hospital in Rustenburg.

The Fire and Traffic Departments, as well as the South African Police Services were on the scene for help and further investigations. ER24
